It is amazing how some people and nations are able to rise up from the ashes and build an empire from it, in nearly impossible period of time. Some nations need centuries, some never rise, but you can't say that applies to Japanese. After the atomic bomb crashing their land and destroying everything to the ground, and radiation it carried with itself, they stood up on their feet and build it all up again. That is worth admiring. Remember those earthquakes and tsunamis they had? Well, now the land looks like it never happened... Really amazing people.
