For many people showcase of store is a simple box where they can find what they need. For those who have little artistic talent showcase is something more than that. It is a small stage on which puppets perform their play for the audience, which is daily from hour to hour encounters and watched their clothes, which is the latest fashion and a hit of the season. Set design is harmonious and sometimes created with taste, but sometimes is reign of the chaos and disorder. In any event, each showcase has its own shop window on the world. Large glass windows, a small glass windows on the left side of the street, on the right, turns up while we, passers-by, parade in front of them. Have you ever noticed the magic of those glass boxes?

Mathematician Jan Fikacek photography deals with the love of this kind of art. Perhaps for him this was not the primary idea in the shooting the windows, but intentional or accidental, he drew our attention to the magical encounter between old and new in those windows. Old buildings are reflected in the glass surface, and combined with the new trends set in the shop windows. Air of the past and magnificent architecture of the city have their value, and is only a matter of interest which will provide greater value, monumental architecture or clothes on mannequins in the window.
