You should see what the food stylists do to the food for photographing. They paint, spray, shellac… whatever it takes to make the food look appetizing. Then you order it at the restaurant and what you get is a far cry from what you saw, as evidenced in this series of comparisons.

the subway one isn’t the same sandwich. the picture of one has pepperoni on it, and the actual one doesn’t. way to go. plus, i work at subway and my sandwiches look just like the picture. no big deal.

Well, there is a job for someone to make food look nice, and that is a food cosmetician. He uses household materials such as glue to make them stand still and nice, uses professional lighting and high quality cameras.
Try to ask a McDonalds clerk to do that :)

Carl’s Jr. burgers are crazy large in the commercials, however when you buy one it is just average size. Some one should have included a picture of a burger from that restaurant.

Personally… if you ask me the ones on the right look better mainly coz of the melted cheese. However…one should remember that when you go for a photoshoot… you get the best hair cut..ladies do their best make and basically you want to look you best. You don’t look that good all the time…same is the case here.

Yeah, the sub in the Picture is a BMT, the sub that has been made is a Turkey and ham.
It’s just as easy to get these things right as it is to get it wrong.
If you are going to make yourself an authority on things being exactly right, maybe you should look closer to home first.

but then companies that manufacture and sale food have to photograph real food in advertisements!
This is not a shame for the workers who make this food, this is shame for these companies!

Come on guys, where is your problem?
It’s made up like that in advertising so you see what’s used as ingridients, you can’t recognize that in a real world burger ready to be eaten anymore. In the end you get what is shown, it looks not so stylish and the cheese is not cold but baken, hell you would start really complaining if they served it unmelted like it’s on the pictures.

this has got to be some american sht, in canada, nothing ive got from wendys has everrrrrrr looked like that.
here in canada, wendys plays off the “we are super fresh and healthy” angle, if i ever got a burger like that id piss in the drive thru window
although, some of the mcdonald ones were close, but even still ive never seen anything as horrific as these pics in my meal
