These Are not Photographs
Attention, these are not photographs, these are artworks of a 28-year-old Scottish artist Paul Chiappe, who is practicing drawing only using a pencil from his elementary school. And eventually he brought his knowledge and skills to perfection, so now he can draw paintings that look exactly the same as old, blurry photographs. But don't let the pictures fool you, all of them were done using nothing but a pencil. Amazing, isn't it? He began drawing dolphins and wild animals that he found in the books, trying to make them appear as realistic as possible. Today he is an expert at drawing photos of Victorian style, and you would need a magnifying glass to spot the difference from the actual photographs. He chose this particular artistic direction because he likes to watch people in old photographs and to find similarities and differences during different time periods, cultures and characters. Paul draws small photographs with lots of details perfectly. In some of his works, people's faces are only 2 milimeters in size, imagine how hard drawing that must be and how big the odds for mistaking are.
